Coming this fall, a new prayer shawl ministry will begin providing shawls, scarves or mantles for persons who are experiencing a time when extra prayer would be appreciated. A prayer shawl is handmade and prayed over by the person making it for the specific person who will be receiving it. The recipient may have experienced a loss, or may be preparing for a medical procedure, or may be anticipating the birth of a child, or planning a wedding, etc. Anyone who has knitting or crocheting experience is welcome or if you would like to learn, please join me in assisting others.
